5/4/20252 min read

Hello my lovely embroidery friends! So many of you ask me: “Ihsan, which embroidery hoop do you use?”
Today, I’m sharing all my tips — plus my favorite finds from Temu (at super affordable prices!).
Why Your Hoop is Your Best Friend?
Your hoop is the secret to beautiful embroidery: it keeps your fabric tight, helps you stitch evenly, and honestly… makes the whole process more enjoyable!
And let’s be real, a beautiful hoop can even turn into a frame to display your finished masterpiece.
Different Types of Hoops (and My Picks).
1. Wooden Hoops — The timeless classics
Beautiful, natural, and perfect for stitching and framing your work.

Tip: Choose ones with a solid screw for the best fabric tension!
2. Plastic Hoops — Practical and colorful
Lightweight, budget-friendly, and great for beginners or thin fabrics.

Bonus: Some have a non-slip grip to keep fabric in place!
Hoop Stand Support: For Extra Comfort!
If you embroider often (or for long sessions), I really recommend using a hoop stand support.
It’s a base that holds your hoop for you, keeping your hands free. Such a game-changer to avoid wrist pain and stitch longer without getting tired!

Since I started using one, I can’t go back — especially for bigger projects!
Which Size to Choose?
10-15 cm (4-6"): Perfect for small designs (and easy to carry around!)
20-25 cm (8-10"): Ideal for medium-sized projects — my go-to size.
30 cm (12") and up: For big embroidery pieces that make a wow statement on your wall.
My Little Stitching Tip
Always remove your hoop after each session to avoid leaving marks on your fabric… trust me, your fabric will thank you-
